How are we different from other natural skincare brands?

After participating in an amazing wellness event in Wimbledon called Wellnergy last weekend, I am still riding high. It was so much fun engaging with so many new people and sharing our Natural Skincare brand, Nude Goose. 

It brings us both such joy to talk about our backstory and how we created our recipes. At the event, one question we were frequently asked is: 

What makes us different from the other natural skincare brands out there? 

For me, it’s important not to put other brands down. All I can do is share our ethos and ingredients and let our products speak for themselves. Here are some of the key benefits. (If you’ve met me, you know I like to chat, so I’ll keep this concise). 

Genuinely 100% Natural

I could go into great detail about this, but I’ll save that for another blog. In short, many big brands make bold claims like “98% natural.” You’ll often find “aqua/water” listed in the ingredients. While water is a natural ingredient, when applied topically it offers no benefit to your skin. Not only does it dilute your ingredients, but it legally requires preservatives. This isn’t as natural as you may have been led to believe. On top of preservatives, you also need something to combine the water and oil, which many people are sensitive to. 

Nude Goose products, however, truly are 100% natural.

Waterless

All of our skincare products are waterless. This means that you are only paying for active ingredients that will benefit your skin. So not only are you getting more for your money, you’re also not applying those nasty preservatives! 

Lightweight Mango Butter

This is one of our star ingredients. It’s what sets us apart – not only from other skincare brands, but also from other waterless skincare companies. Mango butter is an incredible base that is beautiful and healing and doesn’t block your pores. This is how we’ve managed to create a natural skincare range that’s suitable for combination and oily skin types! We use mango butter as the main base, whipped with aloe butter, to create the perfect softening texture. Mango butter is rich in vitamins A, C, and E, and is packed with antioxidants. It helps detoxify the skin, plump it up, and helps to soothe the effects of sun damage. Plus, it has antibacterial properties – no wonder it’s our standout ingredient!

Cold Pressed Oils

We use only the highest quality oils and butters, choosing unrefined options to retain all their wonderful benefits and nutrients. Sadly, many natural brands use heat-treated ingredients, which strip away their healing properties. But by keeping our ingredients in their raw state, you get maximum results. 

Three Ranges

We’ve created three ranges to address a variety of skin concerns. We conducted extensive (human) testing and research to find the best and most effective ingredients. 

  •  Our Radiance range includes turmeric and sea buckthorn oil to boost luminosity, regulate oil production, and heal breakouts.  
  • The Skin Boost range is packed with berry seed oils, such as pomegranate and raspberry, to keep the skin plump and firm. 
  • Our Calming range is soothing, featuring oat, avocado and tamanu oil, working to strengthen your skin’s protective layer and provide deep nourishment.  

For us, our main focus is not just producing great skincare, but helping people find comfort in their skin, so it feels regulated and balanced. We want the world to see that natural and oil-based skincare can be amazing for all skin types. You just need to use the right, high-quality ingredients.
